Biography:
Translucent is a character from the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys, based on the comic book of the same name. He is a member of The Seven, Vought International's premier superhero team.
Translucent's superpower is invisibility. Unlike most invisible characters, his skin is composed of a carbon metamaterial that bends light around him, making him truly invisible rather than simply appearing translucent. This metamaterial is also incredibly strong, rendering him nearly invulnerable.
In the show, Translucent is portrayed as arrogant and corrupt, abusing his powers for voyeurism and other illicit activities. He is a significant antagonist in the first season, hunted by the titular vigilante group, The Boys.
